Teletherapy Tips for Providers
Dr. Connell’s tips for those providing telehealth services.
Be Professional
Though you might not be a professional YouTuber or live streamer having a good set up for your telehealth appointments is important! It communicates to your clients that you take their experience seriously.
It does not take much
You can have a professional looking set up for around $150. Yes this is an investment and an important one to those providing telehealth care.
Stop the Noise
An eco can be distracting for many and can completely take away from what you are saying for others.
Simple Steps
Sound proofing can be done with items you already have in your home. Find some thick curtains, blankets and carpets to absorb sound to help ensure a better listening experience for your clients.
Light
Nothing impacts your video more than light. Having good light is more important than the quality of your webcam! Understanding how much lighting impacts your picture can be difficult. The above is to show just how much of an impact light can have. The Studio lights I use are simple umbrella lights with energy saver light bulbs. You can go more or less high end at the end of the day lights make a big impact on how your clients see you.
Working From Home
Color change fairy lights can be an inexpensive method for communicating with your family. Set up colors for your working hours, then use them as a communication tool. It’s simple and helpful for everyone!
